Arthur A. Avenido joined Manulife in September 1999 after taking early retirement from San Miguel Corporation, embarking on a new chapter in the financial services industry with a strong desire to help individuals and families secure their financial future. He began his career as a Financial Advisor under the Cebu North Crest Unit led by Unit Head Jojo Veloso. Through dedication to the profession and a strong commitment to client service and team development, he was promoted to Unit Head just three years later. With an initial team of five Financial Advisors, he established the Cebu North Horizon Unit, while Cebu North Crest evolved into a Branch under the Metro Cebu Region headed by Regional Head Celestino “Tonyboy” Rodriguez. Under Arthur’s leadership, the unit steadily expanded and eventually grew to a team of 20 Financial Advisors. Throughout his career, he consistently achieved various Honor Clubs—from the Qualifying Level to the Senior Division, President’s Division, and eventually President’s Council—reflecting sustained excellence in production and leadership. In 2012, he achieved one of the highest distinctions in the global financial services industry by qualifying as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). He was also recognized as a Senior Financial Advisor (SFA), a testament to his consistent performance and professionalism. In 2020, Cebu North Horizon Unit was renamed Green Triton Amazon in alignment with Manulife’s refreshed agency branding initiative. The team continued to grow and strengthen its leadership structure over the years. By 2024, the unit had developed into a full branch composed of five Unit Heads and a total of 27 Financial Advisors. With this milestone, the organization became known as Jade Triton Amazon Financials. Today, Jade Triton Amazon Financials continues to build a culture of excellence, mentorship, and service. The branch has produced three MDRT members: Arthur A. Avenido, Jonalyn H. Manlosa, and Rhea M. Yu—demonstrating the team’s commitment to developing top-performing advisors who uphold the highest standards in the financial services industry.
